Studio portrait of 7075 Private Frederick McCabe, 2nd Battalion of Granville, NSW. A clerk prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Benalla (A24) on 9 November 1916. He was killed in action at Polygon Wood, Belgium on 22 September 1917, aged 19. He is buried in the Buttes New British Cemetery, Polygon Wood, Belgium.
