Studio portrait of 7356 Private Gilbert Harding, 3rd Battalion of Wyong, NSW. An orchardist prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard the HMAT Clan McGillivray (A46) on 10 May 1917. He died on 15 August 1918 at the 53rd Casualty Clearing Station, France, from wounds received in action in the Lihons Sector of the Front Line on 14 August 1918, aged 38. He is buried in the Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
