Group portrait of eleven soldiers who at the time were members of the 20th Battalion, and tent mates in Egypt. Back row, left to right: 3026 Private (Pte) Harry Alfred Boddington; 3303 Lance Corporal (L Cpl) James Dickson, of Williamstown, Vic. A boilermaker prior to enlisting in May 1915, L Cpl Dickson was wounded at Bullecourt, France, and died of his wounds on 29 April 1917, aged 23 years. 3122 Pte Clive Stanley Hohnen; unidentified; 3155 Pte Harold John Keable; 3264 Gunner (Gnr) George Ernest David Stevens of Miranda, NSW. A school teacher prior to enlisting in September 1915, Gnr Stevens was killed in action at Fleurbaix, France, on 18 July 1916, aged 33 years. 3001 Pte George Alexander Aldworth, of Rockdale, NSW. A Joiner prior to enlisting in August 1915, Pte Aldworth was killed in action at Pozieres, France, on 26 July 1916, aged 29 years. Front Row, left to right: 3053 Pte Leslie Moncrief Crawley; 3221 Private Anton Adolph Ohlson; 3210 Pte Kenneth Preavie Nance; 3054 Pte Aubrey Clare Chandler, of Kogarah, NSW. A clerk prior to enlisting in August 1915, Pte Chandler was accidentally killed in France on 13 July 1916, aged 22 years.
