Collection relating to the Second World War service of Sergeant 13246 Sgt Ronald Maurice Pullin, Federated Malay States Volunteer Force. Collection consists of a soldier's pay book; British Passport issued in 1947 with a loose photo of Pullin and a Singapore and Federation of Malaya Motor Vehicle Licence, expiring 1950; certificate of service of Straits Settlements Volunteer Force; claim for award of campaign stars and official reply; Leave Ticket; six letters written by Pullin to family between September 1942 and December 1945 while a prisoner of war in Changi and soon after his release; one letter to Pullin while a prisoner of war from his parents, dated 11 August 1943 (with photograph attached); one telegram re Pullin's arrival in Perth; one letter from the Australian Red Cross Society to regarding Pullin's expected date of return; one business card from the Ford Motor Company of Malaya, Singapore; and a newsclipping, c.1957, from the Austra-Ford Gazette re Pullin's career with Ford.
