Studio portrait of 2437A Private (Pte) Francis William Robson, 25th Battalion, of Grantnam, Qld. A teamster prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 5th Reinforcements from Brisbane aboard HMAT Warilda on 5 October 1915. Later transferring to the 9th Battalion, Pte Robson proceeded with his unit to France in April 1916. Pte Robson was killed in action in France on 22 July 1916, aged 28.
