Studio portrait of 158 Trooper (Tpr) Linde Ross Edward Smith, 1st Light Horse Regiment (LHR). A pastoralist from Inverell, NSW, Tpr Smith was wounded in action at Gallipoli, evacuated to Cairo, Egypt and died on 18 June 1915 aged 22. He is buried in Chatby War Memorial Cemetery (Row K, Grave No. 161), Egypt
