Description

42 page manuscript entitled "Don Edward Kendall, F/O: World War II service in army and air force". The manuscript summarises FO Kendall's pre-war life and details his Second World War service. The manuscript first details FO Kendall's service in the 112th LAA Regiment before transferring to the RAAF. Kendall's training in the RAAF is described, and summaries the aircraft flown and the nature of wartime pilot training. The remainder of the manuscript takes extracts from FO Kendall's wartime diary relating experiences of travelling to Britain via the United States of America, training in Britain, and active service in Bomber Command.
