Studio portrait of 366A Driver (Dvr) William Carswell, 2nd Machine Gun Battalion of Tungamah, Vic; formerly of Dunoon Scotland. A carpenter and joiner prior to enlistment, Dvr Carswell embarked on board HMAT Commonwealth (A73) on 19 September 1916. He died in France on 3 December 1918. He was 28 years of age.
