The grave of SX7399 Acting Corporal (A/Cpl) Ray Beresford Lovelock, 2/48 Battalion, of Plympton, SA. A/Cpl Lovelock was a farm hand and railway labourer, living in Karoonda SA, on enlistment on 1 July 1940. He was killed in action on 22 July 1942 in Egypt, at the age of 30. He is buried in El Alamein War Cemetery.
