Description

PhD thesis from the Department of History, University of Western Australia. This thesis examines Western Australia during the years 1914 to 1926, revealing that the Great War had a profound impact on the social, political and ideological development of the state. It also shows that consensus was not strong and that Westralian society experienced divisions and tensions similar to those which occurred elsewhere in Australia.
