Studio portrait of 3508 Private (Pte) Ralph Wilson Richardson, 58th Battalion, of Gol Gol, NSW. Pte Richardson, a labourer prior to enlistment, embarked on board HMAT Port Melbourne (A16) on 16 July 1917. He served in France from February 1918 until he contracted influenza in May. Pte Richardson died of pleurisy at Rouen, France, on 24 June 1918. He was 20 years of age.
