Studio portrait of 1796 Private Edgar Gordon McLean, 27th Battalion of Renmark, SA. A steam boat officer prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 2nd Reinforcements on HMAT Kanowna (A61) on 23 June 1915. He died at Malta on 5 December 1915, of wounds received on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
