Description

Type example of a Plat A Tac steyr magazine pouch, designed to fit to the stock of a steyr rifle. The pouch is horizontal when attached to the steyr and it can be fitted to the left or right side of the stock. Internally, the top and bottom sides of the pouch have been lined with 50 mm nylon tape to minimise wear on the Cordura. On either side of the pouch's throat, a strip of 25 mm nylon tape has been attached, then sewn through the middle to form two loops. Through this has been threaded elasticised cord with a 25 mm nylon tape tab joining the cord loops together. The tab also acts as the anchor for the magazine when it is stored.

Towards the back of the pouch a small plastic clip has been attached to the pouch with 25 mm nylon tape. On one side of the pouch has been attached a 50 mm elasticised strap with a plastic clip at the end. On the opposite side has been attached a 50 mm nylon tape strap with velcro sewn to it's underside. Sewn to this strap is a 25 mm nylon tape strap with velcro sewn to the underside. On the tape side of this strap has been sewn the maker's label, which is olive green plastic with black print. From left to right it reads ' PLAT A TAC.COM' with the platypus logo printed around the 'A'. Beneath this is written 'MADE IN AUSTRALIA'. On the right side of the label is written 'F88 STOCK / MAG POUCH'. The straps loop through the buckles and are secured by the velcro when the pouch is attached to the steyr.
