Studio portrait of 5170 Acting Corporal (later Sergeant) Edward Winstanley Robertson, 13th Battalion, of Neutral Bay, NSW. He embarked with the 16th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Star of Victoria (A16) on 31 March 1916. Sergeant Robertson was killed in action in France on 28 March 1918, aged 24.
