Studio portrait of 3258 Private Vivian Harold Watts, 18th (later 45th) Battalion of Stanmore, NSW. Son of James John and Caroline Harriet Watts. A clerk prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suevic(A29) on 20 December 1915. He was killed in action on 7 August 1916 in France, aged 19. He was buried in the vicinity of Pozieres. In subsequent fighting, his grave was lost. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
