Heimwarts [homeward bound]
Description
A farmer herding a cow and calf and carrying another animal, possibly a lamb. The artist was an inmate at Oflag 7B camp, at which there was no organised camp activities. He may have witnessed this scene from the camp and to relieve his boredom, Macfarlane produced these sketches.
