New Zealand General Service Badge
Description
New Zealand Expeditionary Force cap badge. The badge takes the form of a laurel wreath surmounted by a King's crown. In the centre are the voided letters 'NZ'. Beneath the wreath is a ribbon scroll with the motto 'ONWARD'. The back has two lugs on either side of the 'NZ'.
History / Summary
Badge collected by NX93640 Craftsman Thomas Sydney Turner who served with Army Water Transport, Royal Australian Engineers, during the Second World War. Turner enlisted on 25 March 1942 and was discharged on 8 January 1946.
