Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to the Kokoda Track. The leaflet is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The message was supposedly written by a Japanese serviceman named Kitahama. He says that he was found wounded and unconscious near Kokoda and saved by the Australians. He also stresses that he and fellow POWs are treated well and urges his comrades to cease fighting.
