Studio portrait of 5879 Private Roy Tennyson McLoskey, 24th Battalion, of St Kilda, Victoria. A bank clerk prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Nestor (A71) on 2 October 1916. On 3 May 1917, aged 24, he was killed in action near Bullecourt, France. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
