Studio portrait of 6298 Private (Pte) James Cunningham, 1st Field Ambulance Brigade, of Gosford, NSW. A bank clerk prior to enlisting at Mosman, NSW, on 2 July 1915, Pte Cunningham embarked from Sydney, NSW aboard HMAT Port Lincoln on 13 October 1915. He was killed in action in France on 17 August 1916, aged 24.
