Hospital camp at Tanbaya and men standing in the river so fish could clean the ulcers; met Maurie Ferry, a journalist with Sydney Sun; continued high death toll; sick moved in late July by able men to Nieke camp; conditions at camp and constant rain; address by Colonel Dylon, a British officer cheered by Australians and his comments to Wall; punishment of thieves; deaths from cholera; about F force; hiding quinine.
