Boxed and wrapped Bore Cleaning Brush
Boxed and wrapped Bore Cleaning Brush. The cleaning brush is part of the CES (Complete Equipment Schedule) of a Centurion Mk 3 tank. The box is wrapped tightly with brown paper which is secured using both transparent and masking adhesive tape. There is some grease staining of the paper. There is label on the front surface which is secured with transparent adhesive tape, and which reads, 'Maker: - C. & S.', 'Contract 6/STORES/38269/CB42.C.', 'Packed. Method I.A.', 'Pkd. by C. & S. JAN 1956/1955'. There are two end labels secured by transparent adhesive tape and which read 'NOT TO BE OPENED UNTIL REQUIRED FOR USE' (in red) and ' C.M.1158.A.', 'Cleaner Bore No.3. Mk.1.', 'Qty. 1'. These labels are repeated on the rear surface.
This bore cleaning brush is part of the CES (Complete Equipment Schedule) of a Centurion Mk 3 tank and forms part of the ancilliaries for the tank's 20-pounder Mk 1 gun.
