Description
Embroidered Australian Army Training Team Iraq uniform patch. The round, Velcro backed patch shows part of the Australian and Iraq flags behind two hands holding crossed swords and a boomerang with 'AATTI'. Embroidered in yellow around the edge of the patch is 'AUSTRALIAN ARMY TRAINING TEAM IRAQ'.
History / Summary
The Australian Army Training Team Iraq (AATT-I) formed part of Operation Catalyst, the Australian Defence Force’s contribution to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Iraq, and was responsible for training and supporting the new Iraqi Army.
