Bundle of kindling wood : Quinn's Post, Gallipoli
Description
Bundle of split kindling wood tied together with string.
History / Summary
Wood was a rare commodity on Gallipoli, so much so that reinforcements were issued with bundles of split wood before they embarked for Gallipoli. This bundle of kindling was found after the war, in a trench at Quinn's Post by members of the Australian Historical Mission on 24 February 1919.
