Studio portrait of 1107A Private (Pte) William John Doyle, D Company, 3rd Battalion, of Tamworth, NSW. Pte Doyle enlisted on 17 January 1916 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Marathon on 4 May 1916. He was killed in action 9 August 1918 in France, aged 21 years.
