Davis, Walter Charles (Private, b.1908 - d.1945))
Description
Collection relating to NX40190 Private Walter Davis, 2/18 Battalion, 1941-1945. It comprises a message written by Davis and thrown overboard from the Queen Mary when it left Sydney for Singapore in February 1941, a telegram from the military notifying his family that he was a prisoner of war, two prisoner of war cards written by Davis, 1942, and a telegram notifying of Davis' death on 4 August 1945. Other records include a Christmas card and a newspaper article, 2005.
