Calico postage bag for teaspoon : Mrs Winifred Cazneaux
Description
Unbleached calico cloth folded in thirds and stitched together at one end. Small sections of thread and holes remain where the package was sewn along the other two sides. Hand written on the front of the bag in black ink is 'TO MRS H. CAZNEAUX. WITH BEST WISHES 1915 FROM W. FELL. EGYPT.'
History / Summary
This packaging contained a souvenir Egyptian spoon that was sent to Mrs Winifred Cazneaux in 1915 by William Fell, AIF. Fell was an associate and photographic pupil of her husband, Harold Cazneaux.
