Description

Pair of black bakelite earphones and microphone set. The circular earphones are slightly concave with a single 5mm hole in the centre. A two pin insulated rubber plug connects into the side of each earphone. A short length of cotton lacing has also been attached to each earphone, to assist the user when fitting them. The earphones are connected by khaki webbing head straps which have built-in brass spring clips to hold them in place. The straps adjust to suit the user's head size. The microphone is cylindrically shaped with the transmit button fitted at the twelve o'clock position. There is a small brass spring clip screwed to the back and a brass guide plate for the rubber lead which is fitted at the six o'clock position. The earphones and microphone are all connected by black insulated rubber leads. At one end of the lead is a cylindrical four pin (female) aluminium plug with a loose threaded collar and a spring protector for the lead. A triangular three-into-one rubber junction point connects the power lead to the three separate leads running to the earphone cups and the microphone. Tied to the plug end of the lead is a buff coloured label which reads 'This unit spot checked by E.RALPH mx28'.
