Studio portrait of 3240 Private (Pte) Eric Floyd Hancock, 7th Reinforcements, 17th Battalion, of North Sydney, NSW. A school teacher prior to enlistment on 18 September, Hancock embarked on HMAT Suevic from Sydney on 20 December 1915 for service overseas. He was killed in action at Fleurbaix, France, on 20 July 1916, aged 21 years.
