Studio portrait possibly of 5270A Private (Pte) William Reginald Smith, 2nd Battalion, of North Sydney, NSW. Pte Smith enlisted on 12 May 1916 and embarked from Sydney for service overseas. He died of wounds at Bernafay Wood, in France, on 29 December 1916, aged 19 years and 11 months.
