Description

A boarding party from HMAS Kanimbla takes part in a ship to ship exchange with with Royal Navy mine hunter, HMS Grimsby. HMS Grimsby was part of the coalition fleet operating in the Persian Gulf on mine clearance duties. During Operation Falconer, HMAS Kanimbla supplied command and control support to the coalition boarding parties clearing the Khawr Abd Allah (KAA) waterway, and logistics support and work platform facilities to Australian Clearance Diving Team 3 (AUSCDT3). HMAS Kanimbla operated in the Middle East as part of the Australian commitment to the Coalition forces assembled to disarm Iraq.
