Description
Able Seaman Combat Systems Operator (ABCSO) Cadey Savage (rear) and Lieutenant Commander Ivan Ingham (front), work in Command Room 2130 on board HMAS Anzac. During Operation Falconer, HMAS Anzac was tasked to monitor, query and board merchant vessels suspected of violating United Nations resolutions and to escort military and civilian vessels through the Khawr Abd Allah (KAA) waterway. HMAS Anzac was also called upon to provide fire power support to ground troops in the area, while operating in the Middle East as part of the Australian Defence Force's commitment to the coalition forces assembled to enforce Iraq's compliance with its international obligations to disarm.
