Description

A Rwandan civilian, who survived the massacre at the Kibeho Refugee Camp by the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA), makes a gesture of relief with his hands. He is one of a large number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) who had gathered at the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR II) refugee camp at Kibeho, that at one time held an estimated 120,000 people fleeing the genocide of the civil war between Rwanda's two tribal groups, the Tutsi and Hutu.
