Description
Studio portrait of two privates. They are: 4809 Private (Pte) Edward Henry Gould, 15th Reinforcements, 14th Battalion, of South Yarra, Vic; and Pte E L Maxwell. Pte Gould enlisted on 11 August 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Anchises on 14 March 1916. He died of wounds on 29 May 1918 in France. Pte Maxwell was not listed on the First World War Nominal Roll.
