Description
Poster promoting the 'Books for Russia' Russian War Relief campaign featuring a quote by Bennett Cerf, American writer and publisher. He co-founded Random House, and regularly made appearances on television. Cerf is quoted as saying that the best way to promote friendship and understanding between Americans and Russians was via the gift of literature and publications in English that reflect American heritage and values. The poster also features a depiction of a bookplate to be pasted into every book gifted.
