History / Summary
Awarded to 2091 Private William Wells of 2 Light Horse Regiment, AIF. Wells lived in Inglewood, Queensland and was employed as a drover at the time of his enlistment on 10 September 1915. He sailed for the Middle East on the troopship 'Osterley' on 15 January, 1916. Wells served with the 2 Light Horse Regiment in the Middle East and later transferred to 6 Field Artillery, AIF, serving in France.
