Collection relating to NX200063 Craftsman Ronald H 'Ron' Dudman, 2/23 Battalion, 1945. It contains a diary written by Dudman covering February to June and some loose pages with diary entries 23-29 April.
History / Summary
Dudman's entries contain reasonable detail about his activities and the general conditions. He often mentions his fiancee Betty and how much he loves and misses her. An entry on 1 May describes a direct hit by a torpedo on an ally ship. Once in Morotai he also provides updates on the position of the Japanese. The back of the diary contains several verses.
