Description
A man riding a motorcycle with a young boy holding a goat between them rides past a destroyed Russian T55 tank in Gulbahar, Afghanistan. This illustrates how the people of Afghanistan have adapted to years of fighting and damage to the infrastructure of the country. This photograph was taken by Australian artist and film maker George Gittoes who has extensively documented conflict especially centred on the Middle East, with repeated visits to Israel and Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
