Anibyniaeth Sydd Yn Galw Am Ei Dewraf Dyn [Independence Calls for the Bravest of Men]
British First World War recruiting poster produced by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in Welsh language. Depicts the silhouettes of soldiers manning a howitzer, beneath a spotter plane. The black silhouettes are set against a blue sky with white clouds. The title occupies the bottom half of the poster and is printed in white letters on a black background. This poster was produced by the Great Britain Parliament Recruiting Committee during the First World War, poster no. 148. The British Parliamentary Recruiting Committee (PRC) was a thirty member body organized by political party organizers, under the supervision of the War Office, with the express aim of aiding the raising of troop numbers in Britain's volunteer army. The main modes of appeal were through mass recruiting rallies and through posters and pamphlets that encouraged enlistment. Fifty-four million copies of some two hundred different posters were produced and distributed by the PRC over the course of the First World War.
