Description

Australian Army issue No 1 Mk IV NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protective trousers in Disruptive Pattern Camouflage Uniform fabric. The trousers are secured by green cotton tape straps sewn to the rear waistband. These tapes cross at the back and pass over the shoulders to attach to reinforced cotton loops on the front waistband. There is a velcro tab for size adjustment at the front. The lower legs each have a pair of adjustable velcro tabs to ensure a snug fit. There are large expanding patch pockets on each thigh, with overlapping flaps and velcro tabs for closure. The trousers are entirely lined with a black charcoal impregnated fabric. A green label sewn inside the rear waistband is printed in black 'SUIT, PROTECTIVE, NBC No. 1 MK IV, D.P.M. TROUSERS 8415-66-134-9881 NATO Size: 7080/9505 Height / Chest Size: 180 / 100 Remploy Ltd. 073458 Name: No:' and a Broad Arrow. A circular black stamp on the cotton tape below this label is illegible but would indicate at which Remploy factory the trousers were made.
