Description

Women making and packing comforts for men of the 30th Battalion. Three of the women are sewing clothes at 'Singer' sewing machines while another is knitting. The women in the background are packing small boxes with canned food, which include Cerebos salt, custard powder, Cadbury's and other products. On the walls behind the women are two posters advertising O-Cedar cleaning products, showing a women mopping (left) and the one on the right a woman is dusting. On the right hand wall banners are hanging with G B and Co. printed on them. The crates in the foreground are addressed to the 30th BATTALION AIF GIFTS H E BUDDEN LONDON.
