Collection relating to the First World War service of 6682 Private Charles Malcolm Smith, 25 Battalion, France. Collection consists of a notebook of shorthand, and two typescript diaries covering December 1916 - October 1919. The diaries contain regular, quite detailed entries covering training in England, service in France and post war administrative service at Australian HQ, Horseferry Rd.
