McAnulty, Cecil Anthony (Private, b. 1888 - d.1915)
Description
Collection relating to the service of 1803 Private Cecil Anthony McAnulty, 3 Battalion, AIF, Australia, Egypt, Gallipoli, 1915. Collection consists of two diaries kept by Private McAnulty, from 10 April 1915 until 8 August 1915, and photocopies of each diary. The later diary is written on the backs of envelopes and letters from home, cut into pocket notebook size, and contains an immediate account of his experience of the Battle of Lone Pine. McAnulty was killed at Lone Pine between 8-10 August 1915.
